About the place -
Kanha Tiger Reserve is nestled in the Maikal range of Satpuras in Madhya Pradesh and is popular as one of the finest wildlife areas in the world. Kanha is spreaded across two districts - Mandla and Kalaghat with core area of 940 sq km and including buffer total area of 1945 sq km. It was declared a reserve forest in 1879 and revalued as a wildlife sanctuary in 1933. Its position was further upgraded to a national park in 1955. It is the first tiger reserve in India and no doubt one of the best managed parks in Asia.
Kanha's landscape is dotted with dense groves of vegetation, hillocks and meadows. Of all these habitats, it is Kanha meadows that are its lifeline, as they sustain large numbers of herbivores like Chital, Sambar, Barasingha Nilgai and Gaur, which in turn support populations of predators and co-predators like Tigers, Leopards, Jackals, Wild Dogs, Hyenas, Jungle Cats and Foxes.
The park is primarily a moist Sal and moist mixed deciduous forest featuring Sal, Bamboo, Jamun, Tendu, Arjun and Lendia. It is home to over 1,000 species of flowering plants and about 300 species of birds.

Thursday, 12th October 2023 -
- Board Train 11289 Mumbai - Nagpur Duronto Express at 20:15 hrs from Mumbai CST
Day 1: Friday, 13th October 2023
- Reach Nagpur by 7:15 hrs
- Transfer to Kanha Tiger Reserve by AC SUV
- Check in at the hotel, Freshen up and Lunch
- Evening Jungle Safari in Open Gypsy at 14:30 hrs
- Evening Tea

- Back to resort, Pack up and Check out

- Travel back to Mumbai by 12290 Nagpur - Mumbai Duronto Exp at 20:40 hrs

Rules to be followed
Few rules we would like people follow -
- Respect Forest Guides and gypsy drivers and follow their instructions.
- Do not get down from your gypsy inside the reserved forest.
- Making loud noise and playing music in the forest is not allowed.
- Do not try to touch or feed wild animals.
- Keep safe distance from the wild animals and keep them their space.
- Do not use camera flash while clicking photographs of wild animals and birds.
- Do not litter. Keep the area clean. Carry chocolate wrappers, plastic covers, paper and other waste with you and dump it in the dustbin.
