About the place -

â€‹Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary is a protected Tiger Habitat situated near Pandarkawada tehsil, Yavatmal district in Maharashtra that encloses an area of 148.63 sq. km. Mainly, the sanctuary sprawls amongst the Patanbori and Parwa Ranges of the Pandarkawad Forest Division. The Tipeshwar wildlife sanctuary found its name from the temple of â€˜Goddess Tipaiâ€™, near the Tipeshwar village in the sanctuary area. This sanctuary is locked in the arms of nature and is adorned with picturesque landscapes and luxuriant vegetation. The park is home to 25 species of mammals, 125 species of birds, 22 species of amphibians and reptiles. According to the Tiger census 2016, Tippeshwar is home to 4 adult Tigers and 15 cubs. Apart from Tigers; other wild animals like Leopard, Sloth Bear, Indian Gaur, Spotted Deers, Sambar Deers, Jungle Cat etc. are seen at Tippeshwar. Gypsy Safaris can be done from Sunna and Mathni Gates.

Travel by Mumbai - Nagpur Duranto Express on Thursday, at 8:00 pm from CSTM

Rules to be followed

Few rules we would like people follow -

Respect Forest Guides and gypsy drivers and follow their instructions.
Do not get down from your gypsy inside the reserved forest.
Making loud noise and playing music in the forest is not allowed.
Do not try to touch or feed wild animals.
Keep safe distance from the wild animals and keep them their space.
Do not use camera flash while clicking photographs of wild animals and birds.
Do not litter. Keep the area clean. Carry chocolate wrappers, plastic covers, paper and other waste with you and dump it in the dustbin.
