About the place -

Chattisgarh is a land of Waterfalls & the most Famous are Chitrakote & Tirathgarh which are surrounded by dense forest. Staying in the tents & enjoying stargazing would be a Brownie point. Ancient Temples, Caves, Waterfalls and dense Forest are main attractions of Bastar.
Another reason for visiting Bastar is the Festival of Dussehra. It is traditionally celebrated for over 10 days by the locals and participating in Rath Yatra would be an experience of it's own. Bastar is worth exploring for its Tribes, Tradition and Cultural diversity. Bastar offers much more that a traveler can imagine.


Tour Itinerary

Itinerary - 


Day 1: Wednesday, 9th October 2024

Arrive at Raipur at around 8:30 Hrs, travel to Jagdalpur in Non-AC private vehicle. Freshen up and get ready to witness Bastar’s unique way of celebrating Dussehra festival and bond with a different kind of tradition. Stay overnight at hotel in Jagdalpur 


Day 2: Thursday, 10th October 2024

We will set off the day with Jagdalpur heritage walk that will include historically significant temples, anthropological museum, Dalpat sagar etc. Thereon we will head to Madarkonta caves, get familiar with formations of lakhs of years old stalactite and stalagmite, followed by magnificent Tirathagarh waterfalls. Next to that we will visit Danteshwaritemple of Dantewada. Learn the link and importance of the two Danteshwari Mai temples in Bastar. Finally we will head on to Dholkal. Overnight stay at Dholkal Jungle camp 


Day 3: Friday, 11th October 2024

We will kick off this day with trekking through greens at Dholkal. Thereon we will head to see megalithic at Gamawada, learn the tales behind memory pillars. Then we will drive to Barsoor, also known as the archeological treasure of Bastar. We will fill you in with the recital of Battistha and Mama Bhanja temple. Next to this we will visit the twin Ganesha temple, dated to be more than 800 years old. We will then move to Espy Satdhara waterfalls, gateway of Abhujmad region. Head to Chitrakote. Overnight Stay at Chitrakote Adventure Camp 


Day 4: Saturday, 12th October 2024

On this day we will go on a short Ratenga trail, discover some interesting locales along the way and discover hidden waterfalls. Our next destination will be Tamda Ghumra waterfalls, we will stop here to enjoy the beautiful ambience and then head to Mendri ghumar, a perfect location to be absorbed by evening sky hues. We will then move to visit a 1000-year old Narayanpal temple, a place of great historical and spiritual value. Overnight drive to Raipur 


Day 5: Sunday, 13th October 2024

Take a flight from Raipur and reach home by evening

Things to be carried
Here is a list of things to be carried for the trek - 

  • Haversack to put in everything to be carried for the tour
  • Water - 2 Liters at least
  • Extra clothes, Towel / Napkin
  • Torch with extra set of batteries
  • Something to munch on during journey
  • Sunscreen lotion, Mosquito repellent
  • Personal Medicines required if any

Rules to be followed
Few Rules we would like people follow -


  • Consumption of alcohol, smoking, drugs, narcotics is strictly not allowed and would lead to expulsion from the trek.
  • Leader's decision will be final and binding to all members. No arguments will be entertained.
  • Each member is responsible for their own safety and baggage.
  • Please do not wear any jewellery or gold ornaments.
  • Please do not litter. Do not throw plastic, paper, wrappers, bottles etc. Carry them home to throw in the dustbin.
  • We strongly believe in saying - Wherever we go, leave only footprints and take back only memories.
Other Info
Hiking / Trekking / Rock climbing / Rappelling is an adventurous activity and accidents can happen in spite of taking utmost caution and care. The organization will not be responsible for any injury / accident / death to the participant while on trek.
