About the place -
Having the highest rock exposure in Sahyadri, Katrabai wall stands next to Ratangad - the jewel of forts in Bhandardara region. The peak can be reached from Kumshet village and takes approx 2.5 Hrs to climb. It offers beautiful view of surrounding mountain ranges. Peaks like Harishchandragad, Karkai, Kunjargad, Kaladgad, Balubai, Nhapta, fascinates you to the South and to the East stands Ajoba, Muda, Gawaldeo, Ghanchakkar etc. Ratangad, Alang, Madan, Kulang, Kirda, Sakira, Kalsubai mountain range can be seen at the North.
Tour Itinerary
Saturday, 17th Sept 2022 -
Meet at SGNP, Borivali at 10:00 pm sharp.
- Travel by private non-AC bus at 10:15Hrs from Borivali
Sunday, 18th Sept 2022 -
- Reach base village, Freshen up, Breakfast
- Introduction and Instructions
- Start trek towards Katrabai by 7:00 am
- Reach summit, Explore surroundings, Enjoy views from top
- Have some snacks, start descending
- Reach base by 2:30 pm
- Lunch at the base village
- Travel to Mumbai by private bus at 5:00 pm
- Reach Mumbai by 10:00 pm tentative
Tour Cost
Cost of the trek is Rs. 1600/- only.

Things to be carried
List of the things to be carried for the trek -
- Haversack to put in everything to be carried
- Water 3 liters at least
- Lunch for the day
- Torch with extra batterries
- Extra set of clothes, Towel / Napkin
- Hat / Cap / Scarf
- Personal Medicines required if any
- Identity Proof
Rules to be followed
Few Rules we would like people follow -
- Consumption of alcohol, smoking, drugs, narcotics is strictly now allowed and would lead to expulsion from the trek.
- Leader's decision will be final and binding to all members. No arguments will be entertained.
- Each member is responsible for their own safety and baggage.
- Please do not wear any jewellery or gold ornaments.
- Please do not litter. Do not throw plastic, paper, wrappers, bottles etc. Carry them home to throw in the dustbin.
- We strongly believe in saying - Wherever we go, leave only footprints and take back only memories.
